Calligraphy Cuts At The O2

Calligraphy Cut Backstage at Britains Got Talent

Paul and Ros from the Calligraphy Cut team at Frankie Cochrane Hairdressing were recently backstage styling the boys from up and coming boy band Chapter 13 at the O2 Arena in London. Additionally, Chapter 13 are supporting boy band combo McBusted on their recent tour.

Who are Chapter 13?

Jake Slack, Tom Abisgold, Noah Key, and Jacob Swann comprise Chapter 13, a rock band aiming for success. They first appeared on Britain's Got Talent in 2019.

The four boys, aged between 13 and 15, aimed to impress the judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams, and Alesha Dixon on the ITV talent show by performing a Stevie Wonder medley. They succeeded in impressing them, and Amanda Holden awarded them her Golden Buzzer, sending them straight to the live semi-finals.

“We were privileged to be asked to style Chapter 13 for their biggest gig so far at the O2 Arena. We choose to use the Calligraphy Pen as it gives the hair more natural body helping us to create some awesome rock styles for the boys” says Paul.

What is The Calligraphy Cut?

The Calligraphy Cut, perfect for normal to fine hair, is the latest hair cutting trend. It involves using a special razor, the calligraphy pen, at a 21-degree angle instead of scissors. This technique increases the hair's surface area, leaving it stronger and fuller with visible movement. Your hairstylist will use the pen's razor blade to prevent damage to your hair.

Currently, only Frankie Cochrane Hairdressing is licensed and trained to offer this amazing technique in the UK. To book an appointment or learn more about it, please visit our website.
