Paul and Ros from the Calligraphy Cut team at Frankie Cochrane Hairdressing were recently backstage styling the boys from up and coming boy band Chapter 13 at the O2 Arena in London with Chapter 13 supporting boy band combo McBusted on their recent tour.
Who are Chapter 13?
Chapter 13 are made up of Jake Slack, Tom Abisgold, Noah Key and Jacob Swann who first appeared on Britain’s Got Talent in the hope of finding success as a rock band in 2019.
The four boys are all aged between 13 and 15 aimed to impress judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon on the ITV talent show with a Stevie Wonder medley.
And impress they did, as they won Amanda Holden’s Golden Buzzer to head straight to the live semi-finals.
“We were privileged to be asked to style Chapter 13 for their biggest gig so far at the O2 Arena. We choose to use the Calligraphy Pen as it gives the hair more natural body helping us to create some awesome rock styles for the boys” says Paul.
What is Calligraphy Cut?
Calligraphy is the latest trend in hair cutting and is perfect for both men and women with normal to fine hair. This new technique involves the use of a special razor – called a calligraphy pen. This is used instead of scissors and the hair is cut at an angle of 21 degrees. This leaves the hair stronger because of the increased surface area and fuller because of the unique 21 degrees angel. Your hairstylist will use the razor blade of the pen to create visible movement and without any damage to the hair.
Frankie Cochrane Hairdressing is currently the only place in the UK trained and licenced to deliver this amazing technique. For more information or to book an appointment visit our website.
